India, Nepal Renews Electric Power Trade Agreement for Three Months

The electric power trade agreement between India and Nepal has been renewed for a three-month period. The agreement facilitates the import and export of electricity between the two nations. This extension allows Nepal to import up to 554 megawatts of electricity from India, as stated by the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, during the dry season when Nepal's domestic hydroelectric production declines.
