Bangladesh: Training for Trainers on Systems-based Post-clearance Audit

The Bangladesh National Board of Revenue (NBR) held a Systems-based Post-clearance Audit (PCA) Training of Trainers on 18-20 December 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh for 15 senior NBR officers. The recently produced Systems-Based PCA Manual for Trainers was used as basis for the workshop.
This Train-the-Trainers’ Workshop
- Discussed PCA and the international agreements that endorse and promote PCA;
- Highlighted the role of senior managers in a PCA program; and
- Practiced and discussed interviewing, accounting, and auditing for systems-based PCA.
Mr. Khondaker Muhammad Aminur Rahamn, Member, Audit, Modernization and International Trade, NBR, led the opening and closing ceremonies of the Workshop.
The Workshop was facilitated by international Customs expert, Mr. Paul Collins, and supported by staff and consultants from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
This event was funded by the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction technical assistance, “Supporting Participation in the SASEC Trade Facilitation Program,” administered by ADB.
