Nepal is willing to use the ports of Bangladesh for international trade and lessen its dependence on Kolkata port in India, according to Mr. Banshidhar Mishra, Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh, in a courtesy call with Mr. Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu, Senior Vice President, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI). The call also highlighted the huge potential in hydropower and urged Bangladesh to invest in Nepal. They also discussed the potential in commodity trade between the two countries. Furthermore, the envoy underscored his hope that the Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) Motor Vehicle Agreement will reduce the visa complications for Bangladeshis visiting Nepal.
