Nepal: Subregional Transport Enhancement Project

This loan and grant project will upgrade the country's road network to provide a north-south link between the North Eastern Region and the east-west highway, and improve major international trade corridors in the country in conjunction with the modernization of customs systems. The project will also strengthen the capacity of the road sector and customs authorities. The project seeks to boost the economy of the project areas and integrate them more effectively with their primary markets in India, and with markets beyond.
