Nepal: Electricity Grid Modernization Project

This project will finance high-priority electricity grid modernization investments in Nepal's transmission and distribution systems. It will help increase the capacity and reach of Nepal’s power distribution networks to meet current and future demands, improve reliability and quality of supply, and reduce losses. The project will also help promote regional cooperation and integration by boosting the Nepal Electricity Authority's capacity to operationalize the Nepal Power Trading Company Limited, its new power trading company.
