Bangladesh: SASEC Chittagong–Cox’s Bazar Railway Project, Phase 1 - Tranche 1

The impact of this multitranche financing facility project will be efficient and safe railway transport in Bangladesh and improved subregional connectivity and trade, by developing an improved railway transport system along the Chittagong–Cox’s Bazar corridor. The first tranche focuses on infrastructure needs along the 102-kilometer Dohazari–Cox’s Bazar section and strengthening the capacity of Bangladesh Railway for project implementation management.
