Bangladesh and Nepal Committed to Strengthening Connectivity

Mr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman, Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal, and Mr. Gunakar Bhatta, Nepal’s Vice-Chair of the National Planning Commission, held wide-ranging discussions on connectivity, trade and investment, development planning, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people connectivity, at a meeting in Kathmandu. 

The meeting reaffirmed Bangladesh and Nepal shared commitment to strengthen regional connectivity as part of broader efforts to deepen bilateral ties and support shared economic growth.

They also exchanged views on cooperation to ensure a smooth graduation from the Least Developed Country category, recognizing the importance of stronger regional cooperation in addressing common development challenges. 

Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen their partnership. Improved connectivity between countries is a key enabler of stronger economic links and closer people-to-people relations.
