India’s Foreign Secretary Visits Nepal to Further Strengthen Ties

Mr. Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary of the Government of India, visited Nepal on 17-18 August 2025 to strengthen bilateral ties. He met leaders including Nepal Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli, Nepal President Ramchandra Paudel, and Mr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Foreign Minister of the Government of Nepal. Their discussions focused on expanding cooperation in socio-economic, technological, and connectivity sectors, emphasizing the need to increase air links between India and Nepal. 

Mr. Misri also delivered an invitation from India Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepal Prime Minister Oli to visit India on 16–17 September 2025. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to furthering India-Nepal partnership, highlighting mutual trust, goodwill, and shared goals for prosperity and regional stability.
