Maldives-Sri Lanka Hold Talks to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Sri Lanka President Sri Lanka President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu met at the President's Office in Male, Maldives, on 28 July 2025 to deepen cooperation and to strengthen the two countries' bilateral ties with each other.

The meeting aimed to strengthen trade and investment, people-to-people ties, capacity building, air connectivity, maritime safety, and other strategic areas of cooperation.

President Dissanayake also met with cabinet ministers and other officials during the state visit to discuss bilateral, regional, and international issues. The trip was President Dissanayake's first state visit to Maldives.
