Kamalasagar-Tarapur Border Haat in Tripura Set to Reopen

The Kamalasagar-Tarapur border haat on the border of Bangladesh and India is set to be reopened after four years of having been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Kamalasagar-Tarapur border haat is scheduled for maintenance work for a proposed reopening in July 2023. Border haats are markets where vendors from both countries may sell their wares.

The Kamalasagar-Tarapur border hat is in the district of Sepahijala in Tripura. It was shut down in adherence to coronavirus response guidelines. The Srinagar border hat, which also in Tripura, was reopened in May 2023.
