The meeting for the South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) Transport Working Group will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 9-11 September 2025. The meeting will discuss Action Plan for SASEC Initiatives (APSI) 2026-2028 and its planned update for 2027-2029, the Baseline for Results Framework of the SASEC Sector Strategy 2035—Transport Operational Priority (SST 2035), and prospects for transport cooperation in the SASEC subregion, including digitalization and private sector participation. Transport officials from the SASEC countries are expected to attend the meeting. Highly Facilitated Trade Corridors and Comprehensive Trade Gateways Ecosystem Development will be discussed in a common meeting of the Transport and Trade Facilitation Working Groups.
