The South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation Trade Facilitation Working Group (SASEC TFWG) meeting was held on 21-22 November 2023 in New Delhi, India.

The Government of India hosted the meeting and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) gave knowledge and logistics support. Mr. Vimal Srivastava, principal commissioner, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Government of India, chaired the plenary sessions. Cochair for the event was Mr. Thiam Hee Ng, regional head, Regional Cooperation and Integration Unit, South Asia Department, ADB.

Topics discussed at the meeting included facilitating regional integration via intercountry trade and tourist corridors, coordination of food regulators for food trade, and regional tourism in South Asia region.

Partner countries also discussed proposed projects and knowledge products under the SASEC program. The meeting was attended by more than 50 government officials from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, and Maldives, with participants from Myanmar joining the meeting virtually.
