Study on a South Asia Regional Power Exchange

This technical assistance prepared a proposal for a South Asia Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) regional power exchange to facilitate regional development of the power market and enhance power trading among SAARC member countries. Phase I detailed existing operational environment in the power sector of SAARC countries, Phase II identified and analyzed regional power trade, and Phase III developed the structure of regional power exchange.
